Octomore is a philosophical creation that represents an “experiment beyond limits” and the “coexistence of power and delicacy.” Produced by the Bruichladdich Distillery, the name originates from a small 19th-century farm distillery that once existed on Islay. Reviving that legacy since 2002, Octomore is released annually in limited quantities, embodying a spirit of both tradition and bold challenge.

The defining characteristic of Octomore is its status as a “Super Heavily Peated” whisky. While it boasts phenol levels (ppm) several times higher than typical Islay whiskies, the taste is surprisingly refined, delicate, and well-balanced rather than merely harsh.

Octomore 15.3 expresses the true “taste of Islay,” distilled from 100% Islay barley harvested at Octomore Farm. By blending various casks—including Bourbon, Rivesaltes, and Sherry—it creates a singular whisky where earthy aromas, honeyed sweetness, and the raw texture of grain are vividly preserved.
