Legent is a bourbon born from the meeting of American bourbon tradition and Japanese whisky craftsmanship.

After Beam and Suntory came together in 2014, two masters from different whisky cultures began working on a whiskey that could combine their respective approaches.

One was Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller of the Jim Beam family. The other was Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender of Suntory.

Fred Noe begins with Kentucky Straight Bourbon made in the traditional Beam style, with portions of the bourbon then further matured in wine and sherry casks. Shinji Fukuyo brings these different components together with Kentucky Straight Bourbon, using his blending expertise to create the final balance.

Importantly, Legent does not contain Japanese whisky. Instead, its character comes from reinterpreting American bourbon through the precision and blending philosophy of Japanese whisky.
