Kilchoman, established in 2005, was the first distillery built on Islay in 124 years, representing a new generation that bridges tradition and innovation. Located at Rockside Farm near Loch Gorm on the west side of the island, it is one of the few distilleries to operate on a “Farm to Bottle” philosophy. Kilchoman oversees the entire process—from growing and malting their own barley to distillation, maturation, and bottling—all within Islay. Despite its relatively short history, this small-scale, artisanal distillery has made a powerful impression on peat whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

Kilchoman Loch Gorm is named after the dark, peaty loch situated near the distillery and is matured exclusively in Oloroso Sherry casks. It is a flagship expression that showcases Kilchoman’s ambition and craftsmanship through a complex harmony, where the depth of Sherry maturation and the intensity of Islay peat meet head-on. Released only once a year, it remains a rare and highly sought-after whisky.
