Founded in 1833 at the foot of the hills north of Glasgow, Glengoyne is a traditional distillery that prioritizes quality over quantity. Geographically, it sits directly on the Highland-Lowland fault line, creating a unique process where the spirit is distilled in the Highlands but matured in the Lowlands. Because of this distinct positioning, it is often celebrated as the “Whisky born at the intersection of the Highlands and Lowlands.”

Glengoyne is particularly famous for using the slowest distillation process in Scotland and for being completely unpeated, allowing the pure flavors of the malt to shine. Combined with their dedicated use of premium Spanish Sherry casks, this results in a sophisticated whisky where natural fruitiness and rich Sherry notes are elegantly preserved.
