Port Charlotte is the heavily peated Islay whisky brand produced by the Bruichladdich Distillery. While Bruichladdich is primarily known for its unpeated line, “The Classic Laddie,” the distillery launched the Port Charlotte range following its 2001 reopening to revive the traditional, smoky Islay style.

The name pays homage to a legendary distillery located in the nearby village of Port Charlotte that operated until 1929. Bruichladdich has reinterpreted this legacy for the modern era, crafting the spirit using 100% Islay barley, a heavy peat profile (40ppm), and complex cask maturation. Bottled at a robust 50% ABV without chill-filtration or artificial coloring, it stands as a testament to authentic Islay craftsmanship.
