Booker’s is a high-proof, barrel strength bourbon named after Frederick “Booker” Noe II, the sixth-generation member of the Jim Beam family. A legendary master distiller, Booker originally created this whiskey for his own personal enjoyment, selecting only the finest barrels he believed represented bourbon at its best.
The label itself proudly states that Booker’s is “bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered,” using some of the highest-quality stock produced by Jim Beam. This philosophy reflects Booker Noe’s belief that bourbon reaches its ideal maturity between six and eight years of aging.
The barrels used for Booker’s are carefully chosen from the upper and center floors of Jim Beam’s rickhouses. The upper floors experience higher temperatures, accelerating maturation and intensifying flavor, while the center floors provide more stable humidity and temperature for balanced aging. Details such as barrel locations, aging periods, and blending ratios are transparently disclosed for each batch, with the exact aging duration even listed down to the day on the label.
Because it is bottled without a single drop of added water, each batch varies naturally in proof, typically reaching an intense yet richly structured 60–65% ABV.
