Signatory Fortified Cask Series Edradour 13 Year Old

The Signatory Fortified Cask Series Edradour 13 Year Old is a distinctive single-cask release from independent bottler Signatory Vintage, created exclusively for The Whisky Exchange, one of the world’s largest whisky retailers.

Distilled on 11 March 2011 and bottled on 18 December 2024, this whisky spent its entire maturation in a first-fill Marsala hogshead. Marsala is a fortified wine produced in Sicily, Italy, celebrated for its rich fruit character, nutty depth, and luxurious sweetness. The influence of the cask adds an additional layer of complexity and richness to Edradour’s naturally robust spirit.

Presented at a natural 58.9% ABV, this release is bottled at cask strength, with natural colour and without chill filtration, preserving the whisky exactly as it emerged from the cask. The result is a whisky that showcases both the dense, oily character of Edradour and the distinctive influence of first-fill Marsala wood.

The combination of Edradour’s rich Highland spirit and the sweet, wine-driven character of the Marsala cask creates a profile expected to deliver layers of dried fruits, confectionery sweetness, spice, and oak complexity, while maintaining impressive depth and texture throughout the palate.

As a limited single-cask bottling produced exclusively for The Whisky Exchange, this expression represents a rare opportunity to experience the unique interaction between Edradour’s traditional spirit and the characterful influence of a first-fill Marsala cask.
